Key
As with most dreams, look for the obvious connections by
comparing the details or the theme of your dream to your daily
life. Are you trying to figure something out and
“unlock” a puzzling question? Do you wish to hide
something? Are you locking something up or are you opening the
door? Last, but not least, does this dream have any sexual
connotations?
Kidnapping
The main theme in abduction dreams is fear.
The dreamer may be afraid of losing a very important part of
himself or of losing his safest and most familiar surroundings.
Also, the dreamer may be afraid of leaving his home, childhood,
familiar support group, or long standing ideas. These type of
dreams may be most prevalent during times of psychological or
physical transition and during stressful times of life when the
future is somewhat uncertain. Consider the details of your dream
and try to isolate or identify the fear that created the dream.
Please refer to the page called Your Dreams and My Dreams in order to obtain a general
understanding of how dreams could be interpreted. Superstition
based dream interpretation books say that dreaming about being

King
In African folklore, the King is said to be “the one who
holds all life, human and cosmic, in his hands; the keystone of
society and the universe.” In the modern world, we may not
associate the King with ultimate power, knowledge or wisdom.
However, historically the mythical King was highly spiritual, was
the center of the wheel of life and was said to have a regulatory
function in the cosmos. Psychologically, the king and the queen
are said to be the “archetypes of human perfection.” As
a dream symbol, you can understand the king or queen in your
dream by realizing that they represent your ability for
independence, self-understanding and self-determination. They
also represent inner wealth that will enable you to be your best
and help you to achieve your goals. Consciously, you may never
have the desire to be a king or queen, but psychologically, these
figures are symbolic of our highest potential and our desire to
be the “king or queen” of our own world and our own
lives. On rare occasions and depending on the details of the
dream, the king and queen may represent a powerful force that is
unkind and tyrannical.
Kiss
In this dream you may be expressing feelings that are
difficult to express during the day. Kissing is usually an
indication of warmth, affection, and happiness. If you don’t
receive enough love and affection in your daily life, then this
could be a compensatory dream, where the dreamer is comforting
himself. If you are kissing the object of your affection, the
dream could be a form of wish fulfillment. Superstition based
interpretations say that if you are kissing strangers, you may
have a need to conquer. If the kissing is insincere, you are
pretentious while if you see your partner kissing someone else,
you may be afraid of infidelity.
Kitchen
Houses in dreams generally represent the dreamer (dreamer
= house). The kitchen is the heart of the house. For most
families, the kitchen is a place of warmth and nourishment
(emotional as well as physical). Examine the conditions of your
dream kitchen and you may become aware of some emotional needs
and feelings toward yourself and others. See
